Access to a tool does not automatically create confidence or everyday use.
At Keighley College, colleagues needed access, relevant examples and approachable support. I worked with the digital lead at Leeds City College around licence availability.
Understand. Build. Refine.
- 01
Helped colleagues obtain access and understand what was available.
- 02
Demonstrated practical use cases in Google Workspace, using language people could act on.
- 03
Provided training and one-to-one support, including conversations about responsible use.
- 04
Connected the technology to existing tasks rather than asking colleagues to start from scratch.
What changed.
Use grew from approximately 4–5 users to almost 30. My contribution was access support, demonstrations, training and coaching; this was a collaborative adoption effort.
What I would carry forward.
Confidence develops through relevant examples and follow-up. The user journey extends beyond the training session.
What I’d test next
Explore sustained usage and examples of changed practice, without equating licence uptake with productivity gains.
Beyond education
